I recently saw a clip online that cited therapy as expensive. What exactly do you get for the price though? If you view the fee as paying for the price of an hour of therapy, then yes, it is expensive. However, I have never heard of anyone paying a therapist to get therapy, as though it were a commodity that you pick up in a can off of a grocery shelf. Rather, you pay for that hour with the therapist to:
- Get peace of mind
- Gain clarity and insight about your life
- Become happier
- Save your marriage
- Save your child/children/family
- Find yourself
- Understand why you keep attracting the wrong type of people
- Learn how to attract the type of people you want to be close to
- Build self confidence
- Grow your career
- Learn how to control your anger
- Stop hurting those who love you
- Overcome grief
- Get over a breakup
- Become a better relationship partner
- Figure ‘things’ out
- Get ‘real’ – hear what nobody else wants to tell you about yourself
- Face your fears
- ‘Pick up the pieces’ after a devastating event in your life
- Be a better parent
- Be a better son/daughter
- Be a better student
- Become a more sensitive manager
- Understand your boss better
- Get along better with your coworkers
- Help you ‘fit in’
- Overcome depression
- Overcome anxiety
- Learn how to think before you jump
- Be a better you
I stopped at 30. What price would you be willing to pay for any of the above?
